What happens when a mortal structural engineer brings earthly physics to a magical death trap? He doesn’t cast spells to survive; he builds a brutal slaughterhouse.

Feel the bone-deep chill of a starving subterranean ruin and the blistering heat of a desperate, bloody fight for survival. This is not a tale of a chosen one graciously gifted with limitless magical authority. It is a visceral, gritty plunge into the sheer terror of facing ancient, immortal beasts and ruthless corporate mercenaries. You will feel every crushed bone and torn blister as our protagonist learns that in a world governed by parasitic systems, every ounce of progression is paid for entirely in blood, sweat, and unrelenting kinetic friction.

Vance was a master of load-bearing mathematics until a collapsing bridge in Chicago crushed the life out of him. He awakens as the newly bound Architect of Kaelen, a condemned, crumbling dungeon on the verge of total structural collapse. The magical ecosystem is completely starved, and a faceless bureaucratic inspector has just slapped him with a lethal thirty-day eviction notice. If he cannot generate enough ambient energy and capture a living Boss entity to stabilize the foundation, his existence will be permanently liquidated.

Armed with nothing but a scavenged, blued-steel wrench-mace and an absolute refusal to die, Vance must hunt chaotic elemental predators in a hostile, floating world. But outsmarting a towering brawler of fire and a haughty queen of ice using crude traps and earthly leverage is only the first nightmare. A heavily armored corporate mercenary vanguard is actively drilling through his ceiling, intent on strip-mining his home and enslaving his hard-won monsters. Outgunned and physically fragile, Vance must forge a brutal new reality to protect his foundation before the ticking clock runs out completely.
