Twenty-three-year-old Brendan Childs has everything: a vintage Ferrari Dino, a custom Tom Ford wardrobe, and a void where his soul should be.
Growing up in the sun-drenched vacuum of Bel Air, he navigates a world of chemical highs and diminishing returns. To feel anything at all, Brendan begins a descent into a nocturnal Los Angeles where the line between costume and reality — between performance and instinct — dissolves.
From an impulsive Halloween massacre in West Hollywood to a blood-soaked New Year’s Eve at the family estate, Brendan discovers the only thing that actually gives him a pulse.
Enter he who calls himself Patrick Bateman. He’s not just a dealer. He’s a glimpse into a future Brendan was born to inherit.
Wasteland is a razor-sharp satire of 2020s Los Angeles — where privilege is the original sin, everyone is performing, and the most dangerous man in the room is the one who stopped pretending to care.
